Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance

Short-Term Insurance provides the following coverage for the member:

$250 weekly benefit paid if you become totally disabled (as defined in the policy)
Benefits begin the first day of an accident or hospitalization, or on the 15th day of sickness, and continue for a period of 26 weeks (if necessary).

Long-Term Insurance provides the following coverage for the member:

$1,250 tax-free monthly benefit paid after 26 weeks of continuous total disability
Benefits will be paid out for a period of 24 months under "own occupation" (as defined in the benefits booklet), and continue to age 65 (if necessary).
