Professional Liability Program
CMA members practicing public accounting or providing consulting services, whether full- or part-time, should consider protection through Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance.

Two simple steps to obtaining coverage for the first time:
1. Download the E&O application.

2. Fax back the application to Kristin Mavroudi at 416-595-1649 .

Leaving Public Practice?
Members who voluntarily cease to perform professional activities in public practice (e.g. retire or join and organization as an employee) should continue to seek coverage for the professional services rendered prior to the date you stopped practicing. This is because you will only receive coverage for prior errors, omissions or negligent acts committed if you have E&O insurance in place when the claim is brought against you.

Beginning January 1st of 2006, CMAs leaving public practice are eligible for an additional year of coverage at no cost. This is known as the 'Extended Reporting Period' (ERP) coverage. In the past, members who had been insured under the program had to pay a premium for the ERP coverage each year. To be eligible for the ERP coverage, LMS PROLINK must receive the completed ERP form from the Insured within 30 days after the effective date of cancellation or non renewal of the E&O policy.
