CCTT Program Overview

The PROLINK Insurance Group is proud to deliver the CCTT National Liability Insurance Program to members of all provincial associations (except in Quebec where DPLM is managing the program). The PROLINK Insurance Group and CCTT have worked closely with AIG (the program insurer) to deliver the most comprehensive and cost-effective insurance solution for CCTT constituent members.

Liability Insurance Package

The CCTT National Liability Insurance Program bundles both Professional Liability (i.e., Errors & Omissions) and Commercial General Liability ("CGL") insurance into one package. Both Professional Liability and CGL provide critical protection for technicians and technologists operating under their own firm or entity.

Professional Liability
Professional Liability insurance (also known as Errors & Omissions) will cover mistakes, negligent advice and omissions committed while performing professional activities within the scope of being a CET, AscT, PTech or CTech. The protection covers allegations, whether factual or not, and, of course, your legal costs to defend a civil suit. Liability limits available start at $250,000 per loss and can go above $2,000,000 if required.

Commercial General Liability (CGL)
The CGL policy covers bodily injury and property damage to third parties. Coverage is triggered by a lawsuit that results from the negligent actions of a director, officer, partner or employee of the firm. The protection covers allegations, whether factual or not, and, of course, your legal costs to defend a civil suit. Liability limits are set at $2,000,000 per loss because the majority of customer contracts stipulate that members must maintain $2,000,000 in CGL. Higher limits are available upon request.
